Partly cloudy 31°C

Cheers To This Smokin’ Sensational News!

The new offerings represent exciting achievements for the Mornington-based business, with the newly released beers to only be available locally.

While the core range sees the inclusion of a Corner Pale, Watt Lager, Burner IPA and Process Porter, the first specialty beers take the form of a Cold IPA and Hazy Pale.

In the BBQ zone, Tar Barrel’s newly introduced menu has been curated for visitors to enjoy on a Wednesday-Sunday schedule.

Each night features a distinct flavour to sample, ranging from Char Grilled Porterhouse Steak to Smoked BBQ Pork.

For Matt Bebe, Owner at TAR BARREL Brewery & Distillery, the new craft beer release is particularly impactful.

“Today’s a special day for us at TAR BARREL, specifically because we’re able to make our own beer under our own label for the first time after three years. It’s one of those days where you’re a little bit nervous and anxious about the whole thing. But overall, it’s really a commitment that we have to where we are on the Mornington Peninsula. So we’re all about community, fostering that spirit of what we do and why we do it,” he said.

Located at the original home of Mornington Peninsula Brewery, TAR BARREL Brewery & Distillery has become a local favourite for those wanting to enjoy delicious food and drink accompanied with neighbourly hospitality and live music on weekends.

The team look forward to releasing their own whiskey next year, which will complete the business’s three desired pillars of Beer, Whiskey and BBQ.
