Just Wait Until You Experience Hotel Sorrento

This remarkable upgrade includes a highly anticipated 30-meter pool, a beautiful terrace, thirteen new luxury suites, a day spa, and wellness facilities. It's a momentous evolution in the hotel's history, establishing it as a world-class destination on the Mornington Peninsula.

With a history dating back to 1872, Hotel Sorrento has been a welcoming haven for over 150 years. Now owned by the Pitt family, including Rob and Anne Pitt, along with their children Bridget, Myles, and Marcus, the hotel's long-term vision is coming to life.

The transformation takes inspiration from the ocean and the peninsula's landscape. It pays homage to the building's natural and architectural beauty, all just 90 minutes from Melbourne amidst the coastal village of Sorrento.

The heart of this transformation lies in the 13 new Sunset Suites, starting at $550 per night. These suites are designed for guest experience with expansive windows providing breathtaking views of the lush landscape, fostering tranquillity and a connection to nature. The Sunset Suites also feature outdoor marble baths, a perfect way to end a busy day.

Complementing the new suites are recently refurbished rooms. The Pool Terrace rooms offer views of the pool and parklands. Classic rooms are located in the original limestone building and feature balconies with views over the bay and town. At the same time, the Sorrento studios provide a spacious, open layout, a gas log fireplace, and private balconies. All rooms are furnished with Jardan furniture, Hunter Lab skin products, and ample space for relaxation.

A hidden oasis awaits just steps away from the pool terrace through a Japanese-inspired courtyard: the Marlo Spa. Here, guests can retreat from the world, enjoying a bespoke treatment menu that caters to their every need, from soothing massages to rejuvenating fire and ice therapies.

The pool terrace is a major highlight, with a 30-meter lap pool where guests can unwind, sip a cocktail on custom-made Grazia sun lounges, and watch the sunset over Port Phillip.  Hotel Sorrento's transition into a coastal resort maintains its rich history, family hospitality, and stunning surroundings. With five separate bars, two restaurants, private dining areas, and conference facilities, the hotel offers a blend of tradition and modern coastal luxury.

As Myles Pitt, Marketing & Partnerships Director, aptly puts it, "It's not just about providing a place to stay; it's about creating a home away from home that reflects the heart and soul of Sorrento." Bridget Bailey, Finance Director, emphasizes, "This expansion is not about being different; it's about highlighting who we already are."

Plan your visit to the enhanced Hotel Sorrento in December 2023 and immerse yourself in a unique blend of history, luxury, and natural beauty.
