Raise A Beer To These Mornington Peninsula Breweries!

Alongside the coveted champion awards, recognition was also given to businesses with gold, silver and bronze medals, across a variety of classes.

For TWØBAYS Brewing, located in the Dromana industrial estate, it was their Gluten-Free IPA and Session Ale Beers which both received an esteemed gold placing under the Specialty Beer class.

Dainton Beer in Carrum Downs additionally secured three gold medals in the categories of Juicy Hazy Ale, IPA (India Pale Ale) and Strong Beer.

These were awarded for their Equalizer Hazy Pale, Overdrive West Coast IPA and Darklord Imperial Stout brews respectively. 

Red Hill Brewery also claimed one gold medal in the Strong Beer class for their famous Imperial Stout. This is not the first time their Imperial Stout has taken home a medal at The Indies, and is overall one of the most consistently awarded beers for Red Hill Brewery, in Australia. 

In further recognition, TWØBAYS Brewing made the finalist list for National Champion Medium Brewery, while Dainton Beer came runner up for Champion Victorian and Australian Brewery.

Finally, Jetty Road Brewery in Dromana made a notable impression of the night, collecting a total of seven awards including silver for their Infinite 8 IIPA.

Established in 2014, The Indies work in both celebrating and rewarding independent Australian breweries who continue to showcase quality and innovation in their business.

This year’s event saw a remarkable 1,458 entries (including cans, bottles and kegs) from over 200 breweries nationwide.
