Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism is a skills-based board, and includes eight members with specialisations in tourism, media, marketing, government in addition to tourism specific expertise (accommodation, wine, food, breweries etc).

Roger Lancia is an accomplished hospitality management expert with over 15 years of experience managing venues and Hotels for the Grossi Group, ACCOR Hotels, Van Haandel Group, Port Phillip Estate, and the Lancemore Group. Roger has had experience in senior leadership roles that include Executive Chef through to General Manager. In 2002 and again in 2011, Roger was awarded a prestigious ‘Chef’s Hat’ from the Age Good Food Guide as a chef and as an Operations Manager.
Currently General Manager at the acclaimed Pt. Leo Estate, Roger is focused on combining his love of food, wine and art in a truly world-class setting. Roger is a proven relationship builder who has forged strong and long-lasting relationships with some of Australia’s leading hospitality, tourism, media and business influencers.
Alison is a Partner with Hall & Partners, a global research agency. She specialises in social and government research and brings over 25 years of experience in market and social research, stakeholder engagement, communications strategy development and implementation to the Board.
As a local, and with valuable local experience working with the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and Peninsula Grammar School, she is keen to see a thriving tourism industry for the region. She has worked with Federal, State and Local governments, not-for-profit organisations and commercial businesses to work out ‘what next’ in their business planning or strategic communications. Alison holds a Bachelor of Communications (Specialising in PR), is a member of industry associations AMSRS and IAP2.
Sean is the Director of Customers & Government at Google Melbourne. He is passionate about digital and marketing, with nearly two decades of working with diverse businesses across all aspects of business development and strategic leadership. Sean has returned to Melbourne with his young family, charged with establishing Google’s Melbourne footprint.
Simon is a leading, experienced tourism, aviation, government and public affairs executive. He is the current Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Airports Association, the national peak body and voice representing of over 340 airports and hundreds of corporate aviation members.
He has previously held senior executive roles with the Qantas Group, including the start-up of the Group’s value-based carrier Jetstar and was EGM of Corporate Affairs with Tourism Australia. He was prior contracted as Executive Director of the Australian Tourism Industry Council during the COVID-19 pandemic and is a former senior executive with once domestic and regional airline, Impulse. He was also a former corporate adviser with boutique strategy firm, Royce, where he supported a number of leading Australian visitor economy firms. Simon has been a Board member since 2022.
With over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Jason has built an outstanding career with IHG, working across various countries, and renowned brands. Since joining in 1987, he has consistently demonstrated expertise in diverse roles, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and success. In his recent roles in China, Jason’s leadership was instrumental in driving exceptional guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and brand visibility.
His passion for empowering local talent has reinforced his commitment to organisational development. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jason is an active member of the Rotary Club of Sorrento and serves on the Committee of the Sorrento Chamber of Commerce, further demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact on the community.
Mark brings extensive leadership experience in local government, corporate services, and financial management. He was previously the Director of Corporate Services at Brimbank City Council and prior to that held the same role at Wyndham City Council.
He has also served as CEO of Douglas Shire and Nillumbik Shire Councils. As Director of Corporate Business at the City of Melbourne, he led major financial and governance reforms, delivering sustainable budgets and operational efficiencies for one of Australia’s largest municipalities.
Beyond local government, Mark has significant corporate leadership experience, having held senior roles in the financial services and business sectors. His previous positions include CEO of Fordham Business Advisors and leadership roles at Moore Stephens Australia, MYOB, Merrill Lynch, and J.P. Morgan. His ability to bridge corporate acumen with public sector leadership ensures a strategic, innovative, and financially responsible approach to council operations.
