Awarded for their region-inspired Vintage on the Ninch, the accolade comes from the annual and globally-recognised event, highlighting exceptional spirits, distilleries and makers in the growing industry.
Receiving this top honour resulted from the Pinot-soaked spirit achieving the highest score of all entrants produced in Australia and therefore becoming the National Highest Scorer.
While Vintage on the Ninch was additionally crowned both a Winner and Geographic High Scorer for Australasia in the Traditional Gin (Aged Gin) category, there was further success for other creations from the family-operated distillery.
Dirty Ninch and Ninch Dry Gin were highly commended in Traditional Gin and Contemporary Gin categories.
For Kate Barton, Co-Founder and Sales Director of That Spirited Lot, the notable acknowledgements have led to a wave of pride for the business.
“It is such a trip to be recognised internationally for our flagship gin ‘Ninch’ done in three ways,” she said.
That Spirited Lot also received high commendation for Distillery Of The Year.
In 2022, the awards welcomed hundreds of entries from more than 30 countries, with recognition across seven diverse categories.
The independent event and celebration held in the U.K. is highly respected throughout the world between both trade and consumers.
Judging is conducted by experts as part of blind tastings, each of whom have career experience in gin production, marketing, events, mixology and more.
